Lavina Ramkissoon is an AI strategist and trailblazer standing for the unification of the African tech space. She is a conscious tech proponent with expertise in psychology, technology and economics and their integration into AI, blockchain and ethics. A tech catalyst that served as chairperson, director and founder across multiple industries, sectors, and technologies - aiming to unlock the potential of the African AI arena. Humanising technology and actively serving as a growth enabler for tech talent across the globe. Currently holds the position as Chairperson, Non-Executive Director, and Founder with passion to unlock and be the consciousness for Africa. Areas include technology, psychology and economics which expand into Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Ethics while developing skills to humanise technology. Mentoring students to business in the field of AI Ethics, Applied AI, Applied merged technologies, AR/VR, IoT, Robotics. Other areas include start-up growth acceleration (Entrepreneurship), Ideation, all things AI, Blockchain and Venture Investing.
She has been the Africa representative for WEF, AU, UNESCO, UNDP and ITU within the continent, placing first AI observatory in Africa, Data Policy, Intellectual property and blockchain to name a few. Addedly, she serves on board with African Fintech Network, Good Hub and Empire Partner Foundation in efforts to unify application. Universities she worked with includes Berkley, Stanford, University of Tanzania, and University of Nairobi - Carnegie Mellon. Institutes she is active board member/member includes TUM, Rain Africa, IEAI-Institute for Ethics Artificial Intelligence, NASSBERS, ITU Africa, Women In AI, Women in AI Ethics, MKAI, Women in STEM, Blockchain Council, Global Council and Tech is Human.
