Credited with setting up Citibank Angola and implementing sales/marketing strategies, which grew strong, niche business (Corporate/Multinational, Aviation, Shipping and Non-Governmental/International Organizations) revenues by over 200% . Oversaw the transformation of Stanbic bank Nigeria from Merchant bank to a Commercial/Universal bank with almost 100% growth in PBT in one year. Restructured SME business at Standard Chartered to make it ‘fit" for growth and managed credit portfolio to achieve less than 10% NPL. Rebuilt the Retail Banking business at Ecobank Nigeria and achieved rapid branch expansion with the migration of the bank from 27 branches to over 120 points of representation.
Upgraded and repackaging most of the bank's consumer banking products to make them competitive, including the launch of the highly acclaimed ‘first in Nigeria' Naira Credit Card. Energized Oceanic banks international expansion, establishing presence in Cameroon and obtaining banking licenses in China, Chad, Sierria Leone, Liberia within one year.
