Christabel Onyejekwe is currently a Director at Five thousand Miles, a globalization services company which specializes in international business development in Europe . Prior to this role,she pioneered and served as Executive Director, Business Development and subsequently as Executive Director, Technology and Operations in Nigeria Interbank Settlement System plc(NIBSS PLC) She was part of the Transformation team that turned around NIBSS plc in 2012 ; where she handled major projects and business strategies that transformed NIBSS into a global brand with sharp insights on the product offerings and development, business strategies and successes of the Company

Christabel has several years of Banking, and Financial Industry experience, holding key positions at several Banks, covering Treasury management, Consumer Banking, Commercial and Corporate Banking. Her banking career started in First Bank of Nigeria PLC  and she moved to UBA plc where she rose to the position of General Manager. In this capacity, she played significant  roles in the management of major conglomerates/multinationals in the Country. She was a very active member of the team that brought about the consolidation of UBA plc with other Banks  it acquired during the consolidation of Banks in 2005.  Thereafter she  was appointed the pioneer Regional Director Lagos in charge of 120 branches.

Christabel holds an MBA in Banking & Finance, a Bachelor of Law degree and has completed several Executive Management programmes at top local and International Learning Institutions such as LBS, Wharton, MIT, Stanford, INSEAD and Harvard Business schools to mention but a few. She is recognized by FINTECH Africa as one of the top 30 leading women in Financial Technology in Nigeria.

She is also an Associate Member/Mentor at Women in Business (WIMBIZ).She also holds an Honorary member of Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria(CIBN) and is a Fellow of the Compliance Institute of Nigeria,which is responsible for the compliance of professionals within and outside  the financial industry.
